PBRC Web Email

This email site is available only to faculty, students and staff of the Pacific Biosciences Research Center, University of Hawaii.

Please note that the URL for this page is http://mail.pbrc.hawaii.edu. You will need to enter this address in the browser when accessing your email from remote locations.

 New!  Secure SquirrelMail 1.4.20 This is the newest, fastest version of SquirrelMail. There are a few changes in the default preferences, so be warned that it might not work exactly like the older version. Also, you will need to accept, and optionally install as trusted, the site certificate required by the secure connection. The certificate is "self-signed" (ie., has not been issued by a third party certificate vendor) so it will generate warnings in your browser unless you install it as trusted.

SquirrelMail 1.4.2 This is an older installation that doesn't support secure data transfer. It is also slower than the secure version. Use it only if you have problems with the secure version.

Web Email A simple interface designed to work with nearly any browser. It is generally faster than SquirrelMail but doesn't support accessing mail folders on the server. This is a good interface to use when travelling or when you need to quickly check your email from a remote location where the installed browser is "version-compromised".
